people just really hate her music

but it’s virulent hate for something incredibly non-offensive

and most of it, at the core, is actually directed towards her image and the fact that she radically altered her face with cosmetic surgery and changed her style from her ~indie dayz~ in order to achieve success 

and people are mad their precious little Americana queen feels no shame about patently not buying into the concept of “authenticity” and they are doing this as opposed to the more logical, subjective “I just think her music is mediocre/bad” reaction

because the indie scene/hipsters are annoyed by dudes who are successful that they consider inauthentic and making bad music, they are MORALLY FUCKING OUTRAGED by women they consider to be inauthentic and making music they don’t like
